100 BLACK MEN OF AKRON INC.
The 100 Black Men of Akron, Inc. is a youth development organization founded locally in 2004 and serves African American youth yearly through mentoring based educational programs.
The 100 Black Men of Akron, Inc. mission is to provide mentoring services designed to provide added opportunities for young men in grades 5 to 12 within our community. We will achieve this by developing programs focused on improving the education, health, and character of our student participants with the collaboration and support of parents, teachers, affiliates, and corporate partners.
Our vision is to develop a best in class, measurable mentoring program and strategy that will result in significant increase in academic success, graduation rate, and self-esteem of our student participants along with improved community involvement.
Mentoring is the cornerstone of what the 100 Black Men of Akron brings to the community by guiding youth in life experiences, fostering a positive self-perception and self-respect, encouraging excellence in education, and pursuing life-long goals.

The Collegiate 100 of Akron is an organization comprised of students at the University of Akron that share the common vision and intent of the 100 Black Men of Akron, Inc. to improve the quality of life for young African Americans. Collegiate 100 members commit to improving the community by serving as volunteers at local events and providing group mentoring and tutoring to youth.
